Eilu v'Eilu: Value of Choice or Value of Complexity

  1. Presuming the thesis regarding choices of systems; How many people understand the range (not just one) of legitimate systems and their implications well enough to make an thoughtful choice? If it was not thoughtful (for what ever reason), can you change systems? You need to be a Talmid Chacham to begin with.

    With very few exceptions, I suspect that most individuals have not made a thoughtful choice and in fact live a mosaic of practices which to some degree are in conflict but become 'Tradition'.

    Lots of thoughts swirling on this.
